Welcome to EMStudy, where you can convert your FEMA EMI Independent Study courses into college credit from Frederick Community College

Get started now in 3 easy steps:

1.     Complete your online FEMA Independent Study courses at the EMI Independent Study website: http://training.fema.gov/IS/

*Visit our Course Info tab for a complete list of eligible credits and our How to Apply tab for more detailed information on completing application process.

2.    Order your credits at www.EMStudy.com. Each credit is $88.00 per semester hour

3.     Frederick Community College will issue a transcript showing your credits, within 2-3 weeks


Due to our affiliation with FEMA/DHS, are offices are closed.  EMStudy will remain operational, but will not be actively managed.  We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause.


FCC will be closed for winter break from December 20, 2018 – January 2, 2019. If you need your transcript to be processed in the 2018 calendar year, you must have your order submitted by December 16, 2018.  Please note that if your order fails validation, your order will not processed by FCC until January 2019.

 **All validated orders submitted after December 16, 2018 will not be processed by FCC until January 2019.


The following credits will be removed from the list of eligible credits on January 28, 2019.  You may purchase these credits until that time.

FEM 202= (IS-794) External Affairs Program Liaison

FEM 204= (IS-420 and IS-421) Emergency Food and Shelter National Board Program

FEM 207= (IS-303) Radiological Accident Assessment Concepts

FEM 227= (IS-305) Ensuring Health and Safety in Emergency Response


Fall Semester ends January 27, 2019. If you need your transcript to reflect the Fall Semester, your order must be submitted by January 27, 2019.

*If your order fails validation, your transcript will not reflect the Fall Semester.
